On March 24, the CSD School Board of Directors adopted the 2025-26 school calendar. Early release Wednesdays for teacher PLCs were also approved and are highlighted in purple on the calendars. To meet state instructional hour requirements, some early release Wednesdays were removed. We appreciate everyone who took the time to share feedback through the survey. While we recognize that preferences varied, your input was valuable in guiding this decision. Thank you for being engaged in the process.

Dear LMS 7th Grade Parents/Guardians, We are thrilled to announce that Clarkston School District has been awarded a GEAR UP grant from the U.S. Department of Education! This exciting news means our 7th grade students will have access to valuable resources and support throughout their middle and high school journey, all the way until they graduate from Clarkston High School in 2030. The GEAR UP program will equip our students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in college and beyond. Here is what they can expect: • Academic Support: Get help with their studies through tutoring, academic counseling, and college preparatory courses. • College and Career Exploration: Explore different colleges and career paths through college visits, career fairs, and workshops on financial aid, college applications, and career planning. • Postsecondary Planning: Receive guidance on the college application process, including essay writing and financial aid applications. • Parent Workshops: Join informative sessions on topics like college financing, the college admissions process, and how to support your child's academic success. We believe the GEAR UP program will be a game-changer for our students, empowering them to achieve their educational and career goals. To learn more, please attend a WSU GEAR UP Family Night at 6:00 PM on March 18, 2025, in the Lincoln Middle School Cafeteria. Pizza and drinks will be provided.
