In 7th grade science, we are currently studying cell structures and their functions.. Students recently completed 3D models of either a plant or animal cell to help them better understand how organelles work together. They did a fantastic job bringing these concepts to life.
Attention 8th grade parents/guardians- Your student is eligible to participate in the WSU GEAR UP Summer Bridge program. This is a summer academy hosted by WSU GEAR UP to prepare your student for college and career-readiness. Your student will have the opportunity to tour STEM-related facilities and local college campuses to prepare them for high school and beyond. Summer academy will run June 15-July 9th, 2026 8:30 am-12:30 pm Monday-Thursday in the CHS Library. Registration deadline is June 5th. Use the link to sign up. Attention all 8th grade parents/guardians- Your student is eligible to attend the Washington State 4-H Teen Conference - June 22-25, 2026. This is a 4-Day event hosted at WSU, Pullman. This event is designed for high-school-aged teens to explore the Pullman campus, stay in college dorms, and participate in hands-on workshops ranging from Veterinary Medicine to Food Science to Fashion Design and Leadership Development. Clarkston Bantam XC is gearing up for summer training. If you're a Clarkston athlete that wants to train for XC or just stay in shape for your preferred sport, you are welcome to join their running club. Sign up forms are in the LMS office or reach out to Coach Pat Sobotta at sobottap@csdk12.org
Attention 8th Grade Parents/Guardians- Today your students toured the CHS campus and tonight at 6:00 pm in the CHS Auditorium you have an opportunity to join them for a short presentation in order to help prepare for their upcoming freshmen year. Our LMS FBLA students are hosting a fundraiser May 11-15 to benefit Helping Hands Rescue. Cash donations will be collected in 1st hour classes. All funds raised will be used by Helping Hands to pay for food, toys., supplies, and vet care. Thanks for supporting our community.

We are proud to announce that Kinsey Brinegar and Aaron Stauffer were selected to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York. There will be a benefit concert on May 16th to help raise funds for their trip.
Clarkston EPIC Youth Coalition is hosting a Youth Empowerment Seminar on May 7 from 5:00–7:30 p.m. This community event will feature a guest speaker and a youth panel focused on building meaningful connections and supporting our youth.

LMS Track Pictures are scheduled for Thursday, April 30th after school. Pictures packets have been sent home with students. Extras picture packets are available in the LMS office.
The LMS Parent Group invites you to join us in celebrating and showing appreciation for our amazing LMS teachers. Teacher Appreciation Week will take place May 4th–8th, and we are gathering food donations to help make this celebration special.
